It is time for your weekly dose of Comic Book Highlights. This was a big week of releases and there are plenty of Highlights to be had. This week we got the Spectacular Mary Jane Watson saving the day in Amazing Spider-Man #671, the first appearance of Ace in Batman and Robin #2, Ronan vs. the Universe in FF #10, Sinestro showing everyone who is boss in Green Lantern #2, Human Torch bringing a Dragonball-style beat down on some bad guys in Ultimate X-Men #2 and much more. Hit the jump button to check out all of this week Comic Book Highlights.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #671
Who needs Spider-Man when you got Your Friendly Neighborhood Red-Head Model in town in the form of Mary Jane Watson?
Nice special effects for that entrance. If her stint as Madame Web does not work out, Julia can always get a job as a performer in Las Vegas.
Spider-Sense + Spider Kung-Fu = Look out world. Spider-Man is ready to kick your ass. You hear that Wolverine?
BATGIRL #2
OH, SNAP! Batgirl just got told off by an old lady.
BATMAN AND ROBIN #2
Looks like some of Batman's history has been changed as Bruce sleeping with Talia was consentual instead of him being drugged.
The debut that everyone has been on the edge of their seat finally happens: Ace the Bathound. Welcome to Batman Inc, Ace.
BATWOMAN #2
Let's see, it looks like Nightwing and Batwing are missing from this image of Batman, Inc. Also, I thought in the new DC Universe that Batman and Catwoman's relationship was completely changed to its original flirting relationship? The continuity confusion continues.
Does Batman also carry the Bat-Credit Card in his utility belt along with his business cards?
DEATHSTROKE #2
Oh, the bloody horror. Deathstroke does not even let his victims scream bloody murder. Sucks to be them.
DEMON KNIGHTS #2
Nothing scream medieval times better than some dinosaur killing action.
FF #10
No woman can resist the power of a blue man with a giant hammer.
GREEN LANTERN #2
Hal should have learned by now, no one messes with Sinestro much less orders him around.
Gotta love that the DC Universe characters are not holding back on the violence they display even on T rated books.
NEW AVENGERS #17
Gotta love some good team work by the Avengers, no matter how rare it is to see.
You know when I talk about over-dialogue. This is a good example of that as Iron Man should have stopped at "Everyone watch out!" Less is more. Say it with me kids, less is more.
PUNISHER #4
A few bullet, stab and shattered glass wounds are nothing for Punisher. Much less a broken leg. Sometimes, uou got to just walk it off.
RESURRECTION MAN #2
Two hot women ready to kill some people. Hot!
S.H.I.E.L.D #3
Destruction has never looked more wonderful. Dustin Weaver is just plain awesome. Just look at all the detail that he puts into every building, street and character.
ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #3
Nice Spider-Man 2-esque way to show Miles saving the day for the first time in his young career.
ULTIMATE COMICS X-MEN #2
Human Torch goes 10x Kamehameha on the streets of New York City.
